Living Your Best Life

Support when you need it

As with the pricing structures for our two sister comapnies,  we have opted for a clear, straightforward and competitive pricing structure that is easy to understand, easy to find on our website and easy to plan and budget for.

Our services are designed to support our belief in independent living for as long as possible.  If support is required, costs are sometimes difficult to navigate.  There are specialist financial advisors that will discuss with you various options to pay for longer term care and care planning if that is something you are considering.  Only regulated people may give you this advice.  As a starter, here is a link to a not for profit service you may wish to consult    https://www.payingforcare.org/care-fees-advice/

Whilst we all have to manage budgets against need, we also all know reliability, dependability, skill, loyalty and quality come from valued, trained, appropriately paid workers.  We then depend on them to help manage our lives and it stresses.  We aim to provide a solid reliable service based on these values.  For the equivalent of basic household costs, you can have a Bobby Patrol Service.

Rates and Options

A BDSS Officer can be hired for as litte as one visit per week.  You are free to decide the regularity of the visits and a schedule will be created to suit you.

We can tailor make the service to suit your requirements.

All of our SIA Officers self employed and as such are free to choose the hourly rate they charge to their clients.  However, BDSS do agree the rates at which the Officer will work to enable us to provide a cost effective fixed price service.

Vacant Property

A BDSS Officer can patrol your property should you go on holiday or need to leave the property for longer periods.  You can discuss your needs with us, whether you would like daily or weekly monitoring, or something inbetween.

During that time, you can be in direct contact with your SIA Officer if you need.

Penalties for Protection

For the protection of the client and the Officer, should the employment terminate without good reason, as laid down within the contract, within the first month and within the term of the contract of employment as agreed between the client and Officer, a penalty fee will become payable and will usually be a percentage of the current contracted hours.   We hope this encourages commitment and deters disruptive behaviour.  Exceptional circumstances will of course be provided for and DCCA is always available for discussion to work on difficulties or changes in circumstances.

Payment of the Introduction Fee

BDSS is an introduction agency that provides the SIA Officer with the work, and the client with the service.   We do however, expect a high quality service and to ensure that, will have records maintained and reviewed here at the office.   The SIA officer will record visits and if the client is not in, will post a card with time and date of the visit.

You will be invoiced for one patrol visit during day time hours of 8 to 6 at £40 pw.

An introduction fee will be 17% of the annual minimum contract only (whatever your contracted hours aimed at keeping initial costs down).  The minimum contract is one patrol per week at £40 pw.   The self employed SIA Officer will invoice BDSS direct for all hours worked including any further hours worked over and above the contracted hours.

Invoicing and payments will be monthly, via our business accounting system and payable within 14 days.

Lack of payment within the month, will cease the contract.

Beneficiaries

No officer contracted to a client of our three companies will be permitted to be a direct beneficiary of a client's Will.  This is to protect the client.  However, for grateful clients, we are consulting our solicitors whether a trust fund can be established to enable us to provide continuing support for clients.  For example, the possible future purchase of a Daisy Chain Care Agency minibus and driver and further support services for both the CarePA and clients such as appointments at hospital or social events.  We also hope to find ways to continue to develop and offer further services for BDSS where a need is established.
